Lt Col Terence Plumb, Professor of Aerospace Studies
Lieutenant Colonel Plumb is the Detachment Commander and Professor of Aerospace Studies, instructing the senior level classes. He was commissioned through Air Force ROTC at Brigham Young University in 1988. He is excited about both the quality and quantity of the young people coming into the program. Fear the Fork!

Supervises team that writes plans and orders to assist the Commander USSTRATCOM in Operationalzing his three lines of operations: (Cyber Operations, Strategic Deterrence, and Space Operations.
GSI (Global Strike and Integration) GISC LNO, USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE, 2007-2008.
Synchronizes personnel and expertise from the GISC (Global Innovation and Strategy Center) to address and resolve challenges facing the GSI mission set.
Chief, Guidance Branch, JFCC-GSI, Offutt AFB, NE, 2007.
Expert on National Strategic and Nuclear policy as it applies to war planning. Administrator of DST (Decision Support Tool) used to advise senior officials on nuclear options during emergencies.
Chief, Joint Education, USSTRATCOM, Offutt AFB, NE, 2005-2006.
Responsible for all Joint and Space education programs for 3000+personnel as USSTRATCOM. Facilitates internal consulting and training including the Covey 7 Habits program. Hosts senior level seminars from Special Operations Command/others.
Chief, Strategic Systems Division, Ft. George G. Meade, MD, 2002-2005.
Led joint team of military and civilian program managers who develop cryptographic products that secure and ensure the readiness of the nation’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) and Sub-Surface Launched Ballistic missiles.
Commander, Troop Support and Training Flight, F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY, 2001-2002.
Responsible for alert facility operations of 20 ICBM alert facilities (MAFs) in support of USSTRATCOM AFSPC Emergency War Oder mission. Directed all maintenance activities performed by 141 missile facility craftsmen and facility managers. Led troop support logistics for over 1,000 field personnel deployed over 12,600 square mile area.
Chief, Missile Control Division. F.E. Warren AFB, Cheyenne, WY, 1998-2001.
In command of 18-person office. Oversaw all aspects of coding for 150 Minuteman and 50 Peacekeeper missiles. Established training, coding, evaluation, and office policies. Acted as liaison between Boeing and other contractors and maintainers.
University Professor, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, 1995-1998.
Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies as AFROTC Detachment 910. Taught as senior level class on American military policy and preparation for active duty. Also taught an introductory course to the freshman class. Held several additional key positions as well: As the Commandant of Cadets, responsible for the overall training and evaluation of the 8th largest cadet corps in the nation. As Unit Admissions Officer, responsible for the recruitment and retention of quality students to be future Air Force leaders—achieved the third largest commissioning class in the nation.
Chief, Training Courseware, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT, 1995.
Supervised 12 officers in the production and instruction of training packages, weapon system lesson plans, and supplemental technical material for 260 crewmembers in 3 weapon systems.
Chief, Consolidated Operations Scheduling, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT, 1994.
Responsible for the building, publishing and maintaining of weekly and monthly schedules for 1,200 security police and 260 missile crew members.
Missile Combat Crew Member, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT, 1989-1993.
Began as a Deputy Missile Combat Crew Member in charge of 10 nuclear missiles and worked up to flight responsible for 5 operations crews and support personnel.
